Happy New Year’s Eve everyone! Still not feeling 100% so I’ve pretty much stayed out of the kitchen this past week. I promise to get back to posting new recipes next week but until then I decided to do a kind of “Best of” list. I’ve seen a couple of people do top 10 lists the past couple of weeks and started to get a little curious as to what the top recipes for the blog have been. I’ve done a little digging and I present to you the Top 10 recipes of 2010.
Not all of these recipes were posted this year, a couple were posted last year but they are still quite popular. And I won’t lie, they are some of my favorites too.
Now on with the countdown:
Number 10: Roasted Garlic Soup. Winter is in full swing. This might help you warm up.
Number 9: Perfect Pizza Sauce. No need for delivery. Pizza at home is super easy with this homemade pizza sauce.
Number 8: Zucchini Cakes. Yet another reason to love zucchini. As if we all needed one.
Number 7: Shrimp Tacos with Cilantro Sour Cream. Fight the winter blues with this little taste of summer.
Number 6: Caramelized French Onion Dip. My favorite dip. Period.
Number 5: Fudgy Brownie Cookies. The best cookies. Ever.
Number 4: Bacon Cheese Dip. Let me reiterate: Bacon. Cheese. Dip.
Number 3: Honey Kissed Crispy Chicken Sandwich. It’s crispy. It’s fried. It’s kissed with honey.
Number 2: Cheesy Roasted Garlic Potato Balls. Much like the sandwich above these are crispy. They are fried. But inside…oh inside is cheesy, roasted garlic, mashed potato-y goodness.
And finally, the top post for the entire year of 2010 is…..
Creamy Bacon, Tomato and Avocado Pasta Salad. Ohhhh mama. Creamy avocado, crispy bacon, sweet burst of tomatoes. Hold me.
So that’s that. And as we ring in the New Year tonight I can’t help but think of all of the delicious things that 2011 will bring. Have a save and Happy New Year all!

January 4, 2011 at 4:30 pmWe have enjoyed your recipes for several months now and while I have prepared only 1 of your top 10–the honey kissed chicken sandwich which is now the favorite sandwich here… two of your other recipes are also top 10 in this house–we love your Kung Pao Chicken and your Grilled Steak Taquitos. As a fellow Northwesterner, we don’t actually grill the steak now–I sear it on the stove–but it still makes a wonderful dish that friends and family alike love. I’ve turned several friends onto your site and they too are now daily visitors I suspect. Happy New Year!
