This 5 minute salami caper crostini comes together in a flash and is perfect for last minute holiday parties.
I am roll here when it comes to quick and easy appetizers that are fit for a party. And today is no exception, these 5 minute Salami Caper Crostini are so simple yet so perfect. They are perfect for Christmas parties, New Year’s Parties and “the kids are finally napping so mama gets a minute to herself and wants a snack” parties.
I’m a snacker.
I admit it.
Cured meats like salami, pepperoni and the like have always been my one of my favorite snacks. Especially this time of year. I think it’s because a meat and cheese platter was always a part of our holiday celebrations. As I start to make my own traditions, I’m keeping with the whole meat and cheese thing but jazzing it up a bit with some capers and making these 5 minute Salami Caper Crostini.
To say these 5 Minute Salami Caper Crostini were a huge hit is an understatement. Ryan and I gobbled them up. The boys were huge fans too. Seriously, little Mr. Preston kept coming into the kitchen, pointing at the plate and saying “that!that!”
For the cheese in this recipe, I used Laughing Cow Creamy Swiss Garlic and Herb Cheese. It is one of my favorite spreadable cheeses. Feel free to substitute your favorite spreadable cheese if you’re not a fan of garlic and herb. These little gems would also be wonderful with goat cheese.
For the salami portion, I bought a log of salami and diced it up. It works better than the thinly sliced salami. I think it happens to make for prettier presentation too.
With just 4 ingredients, these Salami Caper Crostini are crazy easy to make and would be perfect for last minute party appetizer or heck even surprise Santa with a plate of these and some wine. He might just appreciate the change of pace from all the sweets ;)

December 16, 2015 at 5:01 amSuch an easy and delicious idea!! I was introduced to capers by my husband and I was a little hesitant at first because I do not like olives and they reminded me of them. But one taste assured me otherwise and I have loved them ever since!
