A twist on classic banana bread, this peanut butter banana bread is a must make for peanut butter lovers!
Banana bread is always a hit in our home so I am always finding different ways to make it. Sure, regular banana bread is great but it is always fun to stir in different things. I’ve tried nutella banana bread, chocolate chip banana bread and ducle de leche banana bread. And now today, Peanut Butter Banana Bread.
Who else LOVES banana bread? Of all the sweet breads that we eat, I’d have to say that banana bread is the one that we make most often. Likely because we re more likely to have overripe bananas lying around.
I have heard about the banana and peanut butter combo for as long as I can remember. I actually put peanut butter and bananas in my smoothie each morning. And then there’s that whole “It was Elvis’ favorite sandwich!” thing. Basically there is no denying that peanut butter and banana are a winning combo.
So why did I wait so long to make a Peanut Butter Banana Bread?! I have no idea. Because guys, it’s all kinds of amazing.
Easy. Just like any other banana bread, you’re going to need over ripe bananas. To get the peanut butter in this banana bread, I used peanut butter chips as well as a swirl of creamy peanut butter.
Like a lot of my other banana bread recipes, this banana bread is made a skillet. Why do I make my banana bread in a skillet you ask. Well, it cooks faster. For traditional banana bread in a loaf pan, you will need a little over and hour to cook. For skillet banana bread, you’ll need only about 35 minutes.
And it looks prettier. I mean, just look at that swirl.
This Peanut Butter Banana Bread is moist, loaded with peanut butter chips and creamy peanut butter. It makes a great breakfast on the go or an afternoon snack. With a cup of coffee of course!
