Cranberry Goat Cheese Log is an easy, festive appetizer perfect for parties! Tangy coat cheese coated in honey, cranberries and thyme. Ready in 10 minutes!
When party season rolls around, it’s always important to have those recipes on hand that require few ingredients, are easy to make and total crowd pleasers. That is exactly what this Cranberry Goat Cheese Log is. The goat cheese is tangy, the cranberries a little tart, the honey sweet and the thyme is earthy. The result is the perfect combo of sweet and savory.
Let’s talk about what you’ll need to make it:
One of my favorite things about this cranberry goat cheese log is that it only requires a few ingredients!
GOAT CHEESE: Goat cheese is soft almost spreadable and a bit tangy. You can usually find it in logs or in crumbles. You’ll also find flavored and regular. For this recipe you’ll need a log of regular goat cheese.
HONEY: The honey is going to add sweetness and help the cranberries and thyme stick to the outside.
DRIED CRANBERRIES: It is best to rough chop the cranberries so you’ve got smaller pieces to adhere to the goat cheese.
THYME: Fresh thyme works best for this recipe because it’s softer in texture. You’ll only need a few sprigs.
In addition to requiring a few ingredients, I also love this recipe because it is really easy to make! Follow along with these step by step photos and instructions.
If you serve immediately the goat cheese will be a bit harder to slice but a cheese knife should work well. You could also choose to refrigerate it at this point and it will be a bit firmer.
Wrap leftover goat cheese in plastic wrap and store in the refrigerator. Use within a few days for the freshest tasting.
This cranberry goat cheese log is great when served with buttery crackers like Ritz or Townhouse.
