Bacon Cheese Dip is loaded with cream cheese, cheddar cheese, bacon crumbles, horseradish and green onions. Perfect dip for parties!
When it comes to party food the dips are the best part, am I right? Whether creamy, spicy, hot or cold, you will generally find me standing directly in front of them with chip in hand ready to scoop up all of the goodness. My favorites are often cheesy like Hot Nacho Dip, or creamy like Caramelized French Onion Dip or light and spicy like Habanero Salsa.
Basically, if we’re being honest, any kind of dip and I’m all in. This Bacon Cheese Dip is no exception. It is loaded with all kinds of goodies like cream cheese, cheddar cheese, bacon and green onions. It is sure to be the hit of your next party.
Bacon Cheese Dip Ingredients:
BACON: I find it easier to cut into 1 inch pieces before cooking but you can also cook then crumble the bacon.
CREAM CHEESE: Make sure that it is room temperature so that it blends well.
SHARP CHEDDAR: Freshly shred the cheddar cheese, it’ll give the dip a better texture.
WORCESTERSHIRE SAUCE: Adds umami flavor.
MAYONNAISE: This will help make the dip a bit smoother and creamier. You’re using a little bit so it won’t have an overwhelmingly mayonnaise taste.
SOUR CREAM: Will add tanginess and thin out the dip.
GREEN ONIONS: Adds color and bit of onion flavor.
Step by Step Photos and Instructions:
Bacon Cheese Dip is really easy to make and can be made ahead of time for a party. I use a food processor but you can also use a hand mixer. Follow along with these step by step photos to see the whole process.
STEP #1: Cook bacon over medium heat until browned and cooked through. Transfer bacon to a paper towel lined plate and set aside.
STEP #2: Combine cream cheese and cheddar cheese together in a food processor (can also be done in a large bowl with a hand mixer). Mix until well combined.
STEP #3: Transfer cream cheese mixture to a bowl. Fold in Worcestershire, horseradish, mayonnaise, sour cream and green onions.
STEP #4: Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow flavors to meld. Remove at least 30 minutes before serving to allow dip to come to room temperature so it is easier to dip.
I must warn you: this dip is thick. Really thick. I actually considered calling it a spread at one point. But after trying it with potato chips I realized that it pairs really well them. So find some thick cut potato chips, allow the dip to come to room temperature and dip away. If potato chips aren’t your thing, you could spread this on crackers or even more Super Bowl Snack-ish, potato skins.

Pizza lovers will fall head over heels in love with this Easy Pizza Dip.
Cook bacon in a skillet over medium heat until browned. Transfer to a paper towel lined plate and set aside.
Place cream cheese, cheddar cheese, Worcestershire, horseradish, mayonnaise and sour cream in a food processor. Process until smooth, about 30 seconds.
Transfer mixture to a bowl, stir in green onions and reserved bacon pieces. Cover and refrigerate for an hour to let flavors mingle.
Allow to come to room temperature before serving.
Notes
It is best to let this dip refrigerate to let the flavors mingle but it dips better at room temperature so just be sure to remove it from the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving. Nutrition information for estimation purposes only.
I’ve been making this dip for years! I always put it in a bread bowl and bake it for an hour so the cheese gets all gooey and delicious. I haven’t added horseradish to mine, but will probably start ^_^
This looks TASTY!!! I will be making it today to take to a bridal shower planning “party.” It has 4 of my favorite things… bacon, cheddar, sour cream and cream cheese! If we could figure out how to incorporate chocolate without it being gross, I would never eat anything else!
Oh that looks decadent! I think I just found another dip to add to our super bowl feeding frenzy!!
