Air Fryer Fish Nuggets are sure to please the whole family. Bitesized pieces of cod are coated in flour, eggs and panko and air fried until golden.
When I am looking for a quick and easy weeknight dinner that I am sure will please the whole family, these Air Fryer Fish Nuggets are at the top of my list.
Fish nuggets are always a huge hit in our home. They are crispy on the outside. Flaky on the inside and the perfect finger food for little ones. My kiddos love how crispy they are and I love how easy they are to make.
Let me show you how!
First you’ll want to cut the fish into bitesized pieces. If you want to make fish sticks, cut them into longer strips.
Next you’ll want to set up an assembly line of sorts. Place the flour in one shallow dish. Whisk the eggs together in a bowl. Combine the panko, granulated garlic and salt together in another shallow dish.
Sprinkle the fish with salt and pepper. Dredge the fish in the flour, then dip into the egg and then finally into the seasoned bread crumbs.
Finally, depending on the size of your air fryer, cook the fish nuggets in batches at 400 degrees for 8 – 10 minutes or until cooked through
Of course I like to serve this with my homemade tartar sauce.
Homemade cocktail sauce is always an option too!
Like I said, my entire family loves these fish nuggets. And I bet yours will too! Just look how perfectly crisp and flaky they are !

May 22, 2024 at 2:27 pmGlad you enjoyed it, Susie! I’ve never tried using mayo as a way to bread anything but doing some research I don’t see why it wouldn’t work in this instance. Be careful though because it does have salt in it so I wouldn’t add as much salt to the breadcrumb mixture. Let me know how it goes!
