BBQ Pulled Pork Sliders

Jump to Recipe

BBQ Pulled Pork Sliders are loaded with tender pulled pork, BBQ sauce and creamy coleslaw. Perfect for dinners and parties too!

I make Slow Cooker Pulled Pork any chance that I get. Why? Because there are SO many ways that you can use it. You can slow cook a 4LB pork shoulder and make several different dinners with it. You could make Pulled Pork Enchiladas, Pulled Pork Nachos and you can even turn it into a pasta by making Pulled Pork Rigatoni.

And of course, Pulled Pork Sandwiches are always a favorite. With this Pulled Pork Slider recipe, I take everyone’s favorite BBQ sandwich and turn it into party perfect sliders. You’re going to love it!

Let’s talk about what ingredients you’ll need to make them:

This recipe has essentially three parts. The slaw, the BBQ sauce and the sliders themselves. Don’t let that intimidate you, this recipe is super easy to make!

To make the slaw you’ll need:

Coleslaw ingredients on white background.

BUTTERMILK AND MAYONNAISE: This is where the creaminess in the coleslaw dressing comes from.

APPLE CIDER VINEGAR: To add some acidity to the slaw.

SUGAR: This will cut the acidity a bit.

SALT

PAPRIKA: Adds color and a slight smokiness.

COLESLAW MIX: You can find this in the produce section with the bagged lettuces the grocery store. It’s a blend of green cabbage, red cabbage and carrots.

To make the BBQ Sauce:

BBQ Sauce ingredients.

KETCHUP: The base of the BBQ sauce.

BROWN SUGAR: Adds a touch of molasses sweetness.

WORCESTERSHIRE: Adds umami flavor.

APPLE CIDER VINEGAR: For acidity.

PAPRIKA: Adds smokiness.

SALT

WATER

GROUND MUSTARD: Adds a tangy flavor.

To make the sliders:

Pulled Pork Sliders ingredients.
  • HAWAIIAN SWEET ROLLS: I love the touch of sweetness that these add to the sliders but dinner rolls will work as well.
  • PULLED PORK: The reason this recipe is so quick and easy is because it uses pre-made pulled pork. I highly recommend making your own but you can buy it too.
  • BUTTER/SESAME SEEDS: For the top of the sliders.

How to make Pulled Pork Sliders:

These sliders come together super quickly! Follow along with these step by step instructions:

  • STEP #1: Make the slaw first! This gives the flavors a chance to meld. Simply whisk together the ingredients for the dressing and then mix it with the coleslaw mix.
  • STEP #2: Make the BBQ sauce. Combine all of the BBQ sauce ingredients together in a small sauce pan and cook over low heat for 20 minutes until it thickens a bit.
STEP #3: Combine the pork with 1/2 of the BBQ sauce.
  • STEP#4: Without breaking apart the rolls, use a serrated knife to cut the rolls in half horizontally. Top with the BBQ pork.
  • STEP #5: Place top half of buns on top. Brush the top of the buns with melted butter and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake at 350 for 10 – 12 minutes.
  • STEP #6: Separate into individual sliders and top with coleslaw and more BBQ sauce.

When I said that these were a hit with the whole family, I mean it! My kiddos loved them. My husband and I loved them. They were a great weeknight meal and the perfect way to use up some leftover pulled pork.

Serve them alongside some jojo potato wedges, or air fryer potato chips.
