Easy Oven Roasted Broccoli

Jump to Recipe

Easy Oven Roasted Broccoli is crisp, tender and a great vegetable side dish! All you need is broccoli, salt, pepper, garlic and olive oil.

Roasting vegetables is one of my favorite ways to cook them. It gives them great flavor and texture. I love roasting brussels sprouts to make this Roasted Brussels Sprouts Caesar Salad. Roasted Mushrooms are fantastic on their own or on top of steaks. And you really can’t beat the sweet bite of Oven Roasted Tomatoes.

And whenever I am looking for a last minute vegetable side dish that I know the whole family will love, it is hands down this Easy Oven Roasted Broccoli. It is so easy to make. Only requires a few ingredients and not much time at all.

Let’s talk about what you’ll need to make it.

Oven Roasted Broccoli Ingredients:

  • FRESH BROCCOLI: I have never had good luck with frozen broccoli. It always turns out really mushy and soft for me. For this recipe, you want the final result to be tender but crisp. Fresh broccoli is going to give you the best result.
  • OLIVE OIL: This will help the broccoli crisp in the oven.
  • SALT
  • PEPPER
  • GRANULATED GARLIC: You can also use garlic powder. If you use garlic salt, omit the other salt in the recipe.

Step by Step Photos and Instructions:

Making this roasted broccoli could not be easier! Follow along with these step by step photos and instructions to see just how easy it is.

STEP #1: Cut the broccoli into florets and place in a large bowl. Drizzle with olive oil, salt, pepper and granulated garlic. Use clean hands (or a spoon) to toss the broccoli in the seasonings.

STEP #2: Place broccoli in a single layer on a large baking sheet. Bake at 400 degrees F for 15 – 20 minutes or until browned and tender crisp. Serve immediately.

Storage and Leftovers:

Store any leftovers in the refrigerator and use within a few days. You can reheat gently in the oven or warm in the microwave.
