5wholejumbo hot dogs sliced into bite sized rounds
2canschili (14.5 ounce cans)
2cupsshredded medium cheddar cheesedivided
20ouncesfrozen tater tots
1/2yellow onionminced, optional
Instructions
Preheat oven to 425 degrees fahrenheit.
Combine sliced hot dogs, cans of chili and 1 cup of shredded cheddar together in a bowl.
Place mixture in a large casserole baking dish. I used a 9 x 13 but a smaller dish would work too. Top with tater tots.
Bake at 425 degrees for 25 - 30 minutes or until tater tots are browned and crisp. Remove from oven and top with remaining cup of shredded cheese. Cook 1 - 2 more minutes or until cheese melts.
Serve with more shredded cheddar and minced onion.
Notes
You can use 8 smaller hot dogs if you don't have the jumbo.We like chili with beans but you could use chili without beans or 1 can with and one can without. Depending on the size of the casserole dish that you use, you likely won't need the entire bag of tater tots. Nutrition information is for estimation purposes only.
