Ingredients

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound extra large shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 1/2 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt divided
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika divided
  • 1/2 teaspoon granulated garlic divided
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper divided
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 cup panko bread crumbs
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • non-stick spray
  • parsley for garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 450 degrees F. Spray a 10 x 15 inch baking sheet with non-stick cooking  spray.
  • In a shallow bowl combine flour with 1/4 teaspoon each of salt, paprika, pepper and granulated garlic.
  • In a second shallow bowl whisk together egg with 1 tablespoon water.
  •  In a third bowl combine  bread crumbs, the remaining salt, paprika, pepper and granulated garlic.
  • Dredge each shrimp in the flour shaking off the excess,  then dip in the egg and finally dredge in the panko mixture.
  • Place shrimp in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 4 minutes. Turn and bake for another 4 minutes or until golden brown. You can also turn on the broiler for 1 - 2 minutes to brown even more. Keep an eye on them though, the broiler can burn them fast.
  • Transfer shrimp to a serving platter, sprinkle with parsley as an optional garnish and serve immediately.
