Ingredients

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Combine heavy cream, sugar and vanilla extract into a chilled bowl. Using chilled beaters, beat the mixture on medium speed for 60 - 90 seconds or until soft peaks start to form.
  • Use a spatula to scrape down the sides of the bowl.
  • Continue beating on medium speed until stiff peaks form.

Notes

It is important that the cream, bowl and beaters are cold. This will give you the best results.
Be sure to stop beating once you notice stiff peaks forming. If you beat too much, you'll get butter.
