Whisk together all yogurt sauce ingredients. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In a bowl combine lamb, bread crumbs, egg, cilantro, onion, cumin, cloves and kosher salt. Mix well. Roll into 15 meatballs. Place meatballs in a baking dish. Drizzle with olive oil. Bake for 20 - 25 minutes or until cooked through. Transfer to a paper towel lined plate.
Warm pita, if desired. Place 3 - 4 lamb meatballs in the center. Top with shredded lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber and mint yogurt sauce.
