2cupsheavy cream
1cupwhole milk
3/4cupmalted milk powder
2/3cupgranulated sugar
1/2cupunsweetened cocoa powder
1tablespoonplus 1 teaspoon instant espresso
1teaspoonvanilla extract
1/4teaspoonsalt
1cupsemi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
Whisk together all ingredients except chocolate chips. Continue whisking until mixed well and there are no clumps of malted milk or cocoa powder. Cover and refrigerate for 2 - 4 hours.
Freeze according to your ice cream maker manufacturer's instructions. During the last five minutes of churning add in the chocolate chips. Transfer to a freezer safe container and place in the freezer until frozen, about 4 hours. Serve.
Notes
Please plan ahead when making this recipe, the mixture will need to chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before you churn it and then freeze until firm which takes about another 4 hours. Nutrition information for estimation purposes only.
